For those who find other types just so-so,
this Jethro-inspired mando
has got an unmistakeable mojo
and the power to transform your solo,
duo, trio, ensemble and playing in toto.
No other mando has warranted a poorly written and structured poem about it's powers, but it seems like the least we could do for such a lovely instrument. The greatest tribute would actually be a lifetime of lovely music - so buy it already, eh?
Highly customized to match the specs of another particularly lovely Bighorn belonging to one of our staff, this features some incredible maple (seriously beautiful with tight curls that have an uncanny depth), and lovely Sitka Spruce.
Boasting a modified X-bracing pattern, this thing's got some serious pop, incredible volume and a lovely depth and warmth you wouldn't expect.
The Bighorn body is the largest volume area of any of the mandolins Weber makes - YES more than an F-style, and as a matter of fact, Bruce Weber's own personal instrument is a Bighorn he built a few years back. Now it's legendary among the Weber Crew.
Also customized on this lovely piece is a wider nut width, which perfectly pairs with the radiused fingerboard. At 1 & 3/16", the spacing is incredibly comfortable and offers just a bit more space than a typical narrow neck. Folks are very happy with it.
Finally, we opted to put on the Weber Ebony Armrest, which is integrated with the tailpiece. String changing is easy, but even better than that, it's so comfortable to play. You just can't beat it!
