Here's a sweetie for you. The Bitterroot is the first "Traditional" F-Style in Weber's line of incredible mandolins. With a bound Spruce top, and lovely Maple back and sides, the entire thing is rubbed with an aged toner, resembling the color of faded leather. It's a striking look, and one you'll be sure to drool all over anytime you open the case.
This one in particular is customized with two of our favorite features - a 1&3/16" nut width (a slight bit wider than the standard 1&1/8) and an X-Bracing pattern on the soundboard. The model comes standard with a Tone Bar, or traverse style bracing pattern, but we like the rich lows and round pleasant sound the X-Bracing yields. Also, we find the wider nut to be very comfortable for your left hand. The Fingerboard is radiused as well.
It sounds amazing, looks fantastic and is priced very well in the spread of mandolins in the marketplace. Bruce Weber and his team in Montana are building some of the finest stuff in the USA and beyond. This one is no different. Includes hardshell case and a custom setup for you by your friends at Steilberg String Instruments.
