This is quite an awesome mandolin.
Kim Breedlove is a remarkable luthier, one with an incredible eye for design and an incredible ear for tone. The shapes and lines of this mandolin seem to evoke a classic era and mastery of design previously only charted by the finest of American archtop guitar builders. Something tells me Jimmy D'Aquisto or John D'Angelico would approve whole-heartedly. The subtle and graceful lines flow like the curves of a classic Studebaker automobile, almost creating the feeling of forward motion on a stationary mandolin.
But in terms of playability, you'll find this mandolin seems equally as fast. The 1-3/16" nut means more space on a normally small area. The difference is subtle, it won't affect your playing if you're used to a smaller nut, but it overwelmingly wins fans everyday. Furthermore, the radiused (slight convex curve; not perfectly flat) fingerboard creates even more string space. After you play it, you just don't want to go back. It is a great feeling instrument and you'll feel right at home no matter what you're used to.
As far as tone, look no further. It's got a full, throaty yet hearty voice with plenty of punch and plenty of warmth. Crisp and clean highs are accentuated and supported by robust lows for a classicly perfect mando sound. Tone Bar braced and accented with ebony hardware, a nice brass tailpiece, and Schaller tuners, this sweet thing also includes a nice hardshell case.
You're gonna love it, so it'd be best to call now.
