Ok, ladies and gentleman, you asked and G&L has delivered.  After months in development, say hello to the Tribute Comanche electric guitar.  Boasting many of the most popular custom options people flip for on a USA custom shop version, this one is a fraction of the price.  Which options do you ask?  Well first off, let's discuss the Comanche model itself...

This is one of Leo Fender's hippest and most successful guitars.  Built on the template of a strat (same refined and sculpted body) this baby features the MFD Z-coil pickups.  These are the last pickups Leo designed and feature very large, individually adjustable pole pieces that yield a powerful, punchy and deep single coil sound.  The definition is unheard of, and they've got more beef than other single coils, while retaining the mid-range and clarity.  Oh, and they're hum-canceled against themselves - so no noise for you!  But the magic doesn't stop there... the 5-way switch is expandable, enabling you to use a normal strat setup, or harness the sounds of the two outer pickups together, or ALL 3 PICKUPS at the same time!  That's awesome.

OK now what about these special options that are standard on this model?  Well....this is the only Tribute model guitar to feature a beautiful flamed maple top, which is a very common option on the more expensive Comanches.  But it doesn't stop there - it also has the honeyburst finish (they call it "Bengal Burst" but it's awfully close to the honeyburst Comanches we've had here) and the pearloid pickguard.  And that's it.....wait....oh yeah....it's got the GUN OIL TINT GLOSS NECK!  Totally sweet!
