We like to call this baby the Stealth Mando. If it were sneaking around in the dark, you'd have no idea it was lurking until it jumped up and frightened the daylights out of you with an alarmingly loud, deep and strong G-chord. Then you'd fall in love (we already have).
Yes folks, its the very first Breedlove FF to be adorned with the black top and sunburst back and sides. This coloration is a popular one in vintage circles, though it is appearing on more and more modern mandolins - namely because it looks so good. So this mandolin definitely hearkens back to a time...that never existed. Deep, isn't it?
Yes, this mando is totally here, in the now, and ready to be taken along on a musical journey that will do your favorite thing, and do it well. This is a Quartz series instrument that has been highly customized, so while being high performance and great looking, it's also cost effective!
The top, underneath that sleek black finish is solid, handcarved Cedar. Cedar's a bit softer than spruce so it usually sounds broken in on day one. This thing is deep, rich and full, and still alarmingly loud. The highs are also very clear, bell-like and present while not covering up (or being covered up by) anything else. The black top and sunburst gloss finishes are a custom upgrade, as is the tortoise shell binding on top and back.
Then, to top it all off, this sweetie has a Schertler pickup for performance in any situation. This pickup is awesome and you will be glad to have it - I promise.
Comes with a deluxe hardshell case, a custom setup, and a whole bunch of love.
