The KC&C violins are incredible pieces in any price range, but as the models increase in price, the quality grows exponentially. The R32S is built from very nice tonewoods – all aged and air-dried for 15 years or more. The European Spruce top is even-grained and ideal for tone production. The Maple back is quartersawn and book matched with a nice amount of flame.
This violin has a great attention to detail with much concentration on the visual aspects, as well as finer graduations in the top geometry than usual on instruments of this price range. The result is an exceptionally playable and tuneful instrument with characteristics of a violin 2 or more times it’s price.
Fittings are all ebony, the purfling is inlaid, the bridge is dense and perfectly cut, and it’s set up with a nice fine-tuner integrated tailpiece and Thomastik Vision strings.
Includes a nice Hardshell (archtop) case and a Brazilwood and horsehair bow of nice quality.
